Gold and Orange

Soooooo does anyone else love Hermes ads as much as I do?

The horse motif is pretty obvious lol. They're in their insignia as well as all over their scarves.

But I also noticed they like to use animals in their advertisements a lot. Not cats and dogs; more like wildebeests, yaks and elephants. ^

Their ads ALWAYS have an epic feel to them! It could be the simplest concept to a girl in an igloo in the middle of the Arctic!

Um, can I  do more photo shoots like these? Pahlease?!

Tat it up!

I love how Evan's tattoo looks like a necklace draping along her back!

Pink is awesome. End of story.

yes!

YES!

No. Never. What was he thinking.

Random Loves!

I want my hair cut like this and this color too. Well, a red tint to my already dark brown :)

Taken by one of my favorite photographers, Patrick Demarchelier!

Her eyes are gorgeously bewitching

I used to dance for 13 years and every time I look at this photo, I wish I still danced :(

Facebook Finds!

I checked my Facebook earlier and I saw I had six photos tagged of me and they totally work for the blog!! Thank god for photographer friends who snap pictures of you at random moments haha!

This is what I look like when I'm slightly tired with nothing on but lipstick. Its not even that bad , I must say. I usually hate candids of me.

Lipstick is by Makeup For Ever (its a dark purple c:), blazer is a thrift find, shirt dress is from Zara, stockings are from Tokyo, belt is from...a few years ago lol. I don't remember where I got it. And the bracelet is from a vacation to Panama City this summer with my friend Tyler :)
I was hanging at SCAD dorms that night with some friends and decided to go down to the lobby with one of them, Anna. Had to poke around and say hi to some folks haha. Please excuse my hair, it won the fight.

Bright Lights Bigger City

Cee Lo Green's newest album The Lady Killer is quite a good one! Very seldom do I like sitting down and listening to an entire album from start to finish. His album is easily one of those albums I can listen to in its entirety at least twice! But there's just one song that always gets me hype every time I hear it and that's Bright Lights Bigger City. Has anyone seen the music video? If not, and you're a nightlife kind of person, do go and check it out :) He goes cruising through New York City and every time I watch it, my love for city heightens!

I'm a city girl all day everyday, and I was born in Manhattan (Beth Israel Hospital whoop!). So I decided to post some old pics I took of my two favorite cities: New York and Tokyo :]

This NY photo is two years old!! Wow New Years 2008

The red M&M is on top of NY :)

Shinjuku! The Tokyo photos are three years old; I went my junior year in high school :)

Nivea was the sponsor for the New Years festivities that year! I got to meet Ludacris, Bill and Hilary Clinton, Taylor Swift and the Jonas Brothers the night the ball dropped :) (Luda and the Jonas Bros are sweethearts)

I can't remember what area of Tokyo this is :( I''m also bummed I had such a crappy camera and that I didn't take any night photos.

Alot of people isn't it? There's one intersection in Tokyo where over 10,000 people cross it every single day.

I LOL'ed.

I was wondering why the only extensive collection of New York photos I have are from years ago and then I realized: I go often enough where I feel like I don't need to take pics every time I go. Plus, I hate looking too much like a tourist anywhere and it's especially embarrassing when you look like a tourist in your hometown :/ But I don't like my blurry, old photos anymore so I'm definitely taking more next time I go to NY lol.

Welp I'm off to attempt laundry for the umpteenth day and rearrange my overflowing closet. Have a great day everyone! :)

Snow Dayyyyyy

So for all of you who don't live in the South or even the United States, a lot of snow has hit Atlanta. I'm starting to wonder if the nickname "Hotlanta" applies anymore. It snowed 6 inches last night and this morning, and every single person who has never seen real snow is losing their minds today. I can only imagine how happy those folks are, but for me, I see it as a hassle. I'm from New York and I've lived in Ohio and Maryland so I've seen snow, played in it, walked through it, shoveled it, and after a while didn't like it as much haha. But honestly its so great seeing my friends from the Caribbean or usually warm states so happy because of the snow! Now let's hope Atlanta doesn't shut down for the rest week (there's no plowers, salt trucks, etc. like there are up north because Atlanta never used to see snow, let alone to this degree).
But enough of my ranting about the snow! I just thought about all the people reading this who are not in the United States and I just have to say I'm so happy you guys are reading this! So far I've had viewers in 27 different countries spanning across 4 continents!!! That's insane for a little over a month of blogging! I thank you guys so much for reading my stuff and sharing my love for the industry! Thank you to all of these countries!:

Its Nine in the Afternoon! And Your Eyes Are the Size of the Moon!

Okay so I know I haven't done a song and collection duo in a WHILE; I apologize. I have been slacking with this blog and that's just not cool. Therefore, I'll do two posts today! :) Pictures of outfits will be coming soon I promise! Until then...
I saw this Viktor and Rolf collection and immediately thought of its Alice in Wonderland, whimsical vibe! Now whenever I think of those feelings summed up in a song, the first one that comes to mind is Nine in the Afternoon by Panic at the Disco. Have you seen the music video?? Viktor and Rolf's dresses would have fit into the music video seamlessly!

This is when you can literally say fashion can definitely be a walking work of art <3

A glimpse from the music video!

Check out those shoes on the model walking away!

Masterpiece.

Ring in the New Year!

Okay so I know I have not posted in FOREVER, but its partially not my fault. I visited my grandmother for Christmas in New Jersey and she doesn't have internet connection where she lives. So I was computer-less for a week. It. Was. Horrible. But I'm so  giddy because even in my absence I gained more followers in two more countries! Yay! Haha anyway I figured I may as well skim the surface with the 2010 trends, the good and the not so good. I don't think there were any bad trends, just trends that have had their run and should be put away in the 2010 drawer. Here's some that I loved and want to stay :) :

Red lipstick! Every lady has the right red lipstick out there for her!

Mixed prints! If you know how to pair them right, you seriously look like a fashion genius since its quite tricky to do without looking tacky or busy. But then again, busy is kind of part of it. Sort of, but not really. Haha.

High heels! I currently am pushing 40 pairs of just heels in my collection and of course its not enough! I just bought a pair of flat shoes and they're seriously the first pair I've bought in a few months! Heels are getting taller and taller every single day! Us lady folks have to be careful before we get sent to the hospital just because of our shoes.

And now for the trends that should be left alone with 2010...

Shaving the side of your head. Now, I have absolutely nothing against being bold with your hair but there were SO many ladies who took advantage of this hairstyle. I'm all for short hair and doing crazy stuff with your hair! So instead of doing it halfway, why not shave more than just half? Cut it all off! Yeah, I know half of you probably will never cut your hair all off but seriously, it will grow back. And much quicker than before too :)

Tie dyed harem pants. Ahem. Yeah enough said. Lets just leave these babies alone.

Bright colored liquid leggings. Unless you're doing an exercise video to "Let's Get Physical", let's leave these at the back of the closet or in the attic.

Welp, that's all for tonight! I have some exciting posts coming tomorrow! Two of my friends will be on the blog! Night peeps! :)
